This is a standard style of poultry house; however it is built to a very high standard and is a robust, solid unit. When we first started building poultry housing, I spoke with many people who could not find a poultry house for a small number for birds that you could actually walk into – other than large commercial units. So we decided to build a range that would suit customers who do not wish to stoop or crouch when cleaning their units. The poplar is available in height ranging from 5' to 6'6”. As each unit is handcrafted to customer specification, access door, external nesting boxes, popholes etc can be positioned on any panel - to suit your requirements and at no extra cost. RUNS available with this unit are: Matching height runs with side access door (any length) or Flat Roof run 2/3ft high with hinged access lid or side access door.

Options available on the Poplar Range include:
•  Sizes to suit, 12, 20 or 30 birds
•  Premier Grade – (12mm thick T&G). 20kg heavy duty felted roof on top of 9mm thick exterior hardwood ply.
•  Premier Plus Grade – (20mm thick T&G). Roofing as above, but with 20mm timber on nest box lids.
•  5', 6' or 6'6” high
•  Additional nesting boxes available on any panel
•  Wheels for ease of movement
•  Variations to suit larger breeds of fowl or ducks and geese

Again, for ease of movement, most of our housing can be built onto a solid chassis supporting wheels. The unit shown here is a Poplar 12 (premier plus grade) on wheels with a 6ft long flat roof run. This house and the run are easily edged along, therefore giving fresh ground every few days.
